Best Credit Cards

These are some of the best credit cards out there. I highly recommend the Discover credit card, especially for first-time credit card users. I personally use these credit cards and highly recommend them. These are part of a referral program. If you sign up and successfully get approved for a credit card, I do earn a small amount of cash. Clicking on the link in no way will harm you!

Save Money

Phone services can get expensive fast, but it doesn’t have to be. I try to save money in areas where I can, and my phone service is one of them. With Mint Mobile, I get 5GB of data every month with unlimited talk and text and I only pay ~ $200 per year which is = $15/month! Please know that these links are part of a referral program. If you sign up and buy something from these links, I do receive a small commission. Clicking on the link in no way will harm you!

Earn Free Money and Gift Cards

Zogo is an app that teaches you about finance topics that range from basic savings advice, how to buy a car, how to buy a house, to more intricate topics such as how to invest. Not only is the app free and a great way for you to learn byte-sized learning, but you earn points that can be redeemed for gift cards.

Each 5,000 points you get = a $5 gift card to stores like Amazon, the App store, Adidas, Starbucks, Walmart, and a plethora of other stores.

It’s a legit app that was referred to me by American Express, my credit card company.

So far, I’ve already redeemed $20 worth of gift card and currently has 25,000 points that I am saving to redeem on Amazon. Want free money? Zogo is the easiest way to get gift cards.

Save Money with These Chrome Extensions

Honey is a browser extension that automatically finds and applies coupon codes at checkout with a single click. I use this to save money on the items I want to buy! How does it work? When you use this extension, it’ll notify you of coupon codes you can use to save on the website you’re shopping at. Other times, it’ll send you an email to alert you when the price of an item you want goes down. Super handy! This is a referral link, so I do receive reward points if you click on it!

Rakuten is just like Honey where it gives you coupon codes to use on the websites you shop at. In addition to that, you also receive cashback on the items you buy. Pretty neat! This is a referral link, so I do receive reward points if you click on it!

How to Start a Blog

I keep receiving questions about how I started my website, so I’m putting them together here to help you. These are part of a referral program. If you sign up and bought something from these links, I do receive a small commission. Clicking on the link in no way will harm you!

  • Bluehost
  • ConvertKit: This is what I use to run my newsletter. I am currently on the free plan and you should, too if you’re just starting out—especially if you have less than 1,000 subscribers on your newsletter.
  • Amira’s Legal Bundle: This is what I use to help protect my blog legally. Every blog needs to have these three pieces of document to comply with the law. Read more about my review of the Legal Bundles here.

Investing Resources

These are chock full of investment, personal finance, and money advice to help YOU become financially successful.

Women Communities

I am a huge proponent of women helping advance other women. Here are a few resources that you should definitely check out. Some of these require an invite, so if you want to join, just send me an email at kia@inmytwenties.co and I’ll gladly send you an invite to the community!

Elpha: This is an online community for women in tech. Access industry experts, learn from your peers, find answers to your most pressing questions, and make lasting friendships. It’s a great resource to ask questions for you regardless of whether you’re in tech or not. Elpha is what I used to gather the women who are in my interview series right now! Also, make sure to check out the Elpha Talent Pool, which helps you connect with companies that are a culture fit for you. Create a profile describing the cultural qualities that are important to you at work, and they’ll connect you with companies that are uniquely suited for you.

The Fairy God Boss is the largest career community for women. On Fairygodboss you’ll find jobs, gain access to recruiting events and webinars, research employers and read company reviews, and join private groups. Not to mention, there’s no better place to get or give advice than its community feed, where members can support and connect with other career-minded individuals and have the option of anonymous posting.

Financial Feminists is the place to talk about money with other kickass financial feminists. Because when have you ever been afraid of a challenge?
